never been shorter, ever

Gotta love the MacBook screen flash in the glasses. Doesn't seem like I've been fatter, ever, either, from the looks of this. That's what happens when you trade running for a chair in front of a machine. And it takes more food to sustain the sitting in the chair than it does to run for the same amount of time, somehow.

Oh well. I can lose some poundage; I can't lose time.

Wow, that is SHORT! You absolutely do not look fat, though.

I think if you compare my face in this pic to the pic in my sidebar, it looks like I'm a little swollen.

Although, it might be the haircut that reshapes my face. I can't decide if I actually LIKE the cut yet.

I'm with Clancy. You do not look fat! You have the perfect oval face shape that everyone wants! When I look at the two pictures, I notice that you're smiling in one and not the other. I think that would make a difference in how you feel about it.

It also might be the fact that my favorite pair of Banana Republic work slacks are too tight to wear. The swell has been creeping up on me for a while--even when I was running (because I eat too much when I'm running/training).

Now that my mileage has dropped to 10 miles a week--this if I'm lucky--I feel like I've given my metabolism that in that it needs to start packing it on *real* good. Probably in anticipation for that next 50K that I'll never run. :)

OMG! You look GREAT! Soooooo different and so grown up (if you'll forgive me for that part...). Good job, girlfriend!

Okay, it's really hard to judge from a webcam shot,* but I'll bet it feels fabulous to have so much less weight on your head...like, your brain can zip about all light and perky. tee hee.

*an excellent excuse for having coffee or a beer sometime soon...

I do actually feel like I have a "grown-up" haircut. :) I'm thrilled with how easy it is to take care of and how little shampoo I need.

It feels very responsible, sensible, practical. It's growing on me.
